Tourism is one of the main economic engines for nations with total contribution of 9.5% to global GDP and\n8.9% of total employment in 2013. Tourism can only flourish if the industry can employ qualified staff or sustainable\nworkforce which is the heart for excellent and prompt service delivery system. Thus, this review made to give\nsummarized information about challenges and opportunities of tourism and hospitality employment. Narrative review\nwas used where selected and related articles, reports and studies of the topic are compared and summarized.\nTourism and hospitality creates diversified employment opportunities in different sectors like accommodation, food\nand beverage establishments, transportation services, travel agencies, tour operation companies, natural and\ncultural attractions sites. The challenges are poor pay and working conditions, sexual harassment, discrimination,\nunequal treatment, low education and training, undemocratic and rigid corporate culture, seasonality and political\ninstability which drastically reduce the number of visitors which in turn brings high employees� turn over. Concerned\nstakeholders including, academicians, policy makers and business owners of tourism and hospitality shall take\nactions to bring sustainable work force for the development tourism and hospitality sectors....
This paper�s purpose is to evaluate an overview on input sources on the innovation process and effects of the\ninnovation process as innovation outputs in the hotel industry as a supporting tool for hotel management. The paper\ndefines current different influences and effects of innovation in hotel industry and future modern approaches in the\nhotel innovation management. With the endemic health care professional shortage seen both in the United States as well as\nglobally, retaining staff is a high priority. Much like other organizations who rely on human\ncapital, health care professionals are the most important resource for improving patient\noutcomes, and for achieving organizational performance. Leaders must effectively manage\ntheir employees in order to retain top talent and meet organizational goals. One reason for\nhigh turnover rates among healthcare professionals is the lack of recognition they are given\nby their leaders. With this in mind, the purpose of this study was to examine the relationship\nbetween transformational leadership components and turnover intentions of health care\nprofessionals. One hundred and twenty-seven healthcare professionals from the United States\nparticipated in the survey. Participants were recruited through a LinkedIn group of healthcare\nprofessionals. More than 100 healthcare professionals from the United States responded to an\nonline survey that contained the Global Transformational Leadership Scale, The Turnover\nIntention Scale, and demographic questions to describe the sample. A correlational analysis was conducted to determine the type of relationship between the health care professional�s\nperceptions of their supervisors� transformational leadership and their intent to turnover.\nThe results of this study support the theory of transformational leadership. The health care\nprofessionals� turnover intentions were negatively correlated with the transformational\nleadership components, which indicate that as their turnover intentions increased their\npositive rating of their supervisors� transformational leadership behaviors decreased....
This paper seeks to make an approach to the financial instrument called REIT, Real Estate Investment Trust,\nspecifically in the hotel industry in Mexico. This tool has allowed many investors to make business in the real estate\nsector, and it has provided a wider range of hosting services. This research takes us into the strategies the REIT\nleader in the hotel industry has implemented to position themselves as such. For retail managers it is being to understand the relationships between customers� store attribute, store\nsatisfaction, consumer confidence, and store loyalty as well as how these relationships change over time. In\nthis study relationships have been investigated by using survey technique. A questionnaire developed to check\nconsumer�s point of view about different stores in Faisalabad market. Result of our findings indicate that consumer\nconfidence and store satisfaction have no relationship whereas store satisfaction did not play a role of mediator in\nbetween consumer confidence and store loyalty. Instead, our study shows that the relationship between services\nattributes and store satisfaction is stronger and positive in periods with low consumer confidence....
